Quilla Mae Brumbelow

October 27, 1950 — January 13, 2019

Quilla Mae Brumbelow, age 68 of Middleton, passed from this life on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Bolivar, Tennessee.

A native of Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Chester and Lena Raye Credille Howard. Ms. Brumbelow also lived in Alabama and Oklahoma prior to moving to Hardeman County, Tennessee. She was a great cook and worked in several restaurants as well as Brown Shoe Company in Selmer during her younger years. She spent most of her life as a homemaker.

She is survived by three children; two sons Johnny Ray Gowdy of Bolivar, Marty and wife Tabitha Brumbelow of Jackson, and a daughter April M. Brumbelow of Casa Grande, AZ; nine grandchildren, two sisters, Annis Walker of Bolivar and Vera Kirkland of Moscow; and a brother Johnny Howard of New Albany, MS.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Morrow; three brothers, Eugene, Ray and Jimmy Howard and husband, Perry Brumbelow.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
