Rachel A. Gibson

Rachel A. Gibson was born in Youngstown, Ohio on May 26, 1937, the daughter of the late Morris Guy and Annabelle Harker. She was united in marriage to Steven Caldwell Gibson, who preceded her in death. Rachel departed this life on September 26, 2019, at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 3 days.

In her lifetime, Rachel lived in Ohio, Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina, before settling in Tennessee. While living up north, she was a member of the Moose Club. Rachel's family remembers her as a giving and spunky person that was a great mom and loved her great grandchildren.

Rachel is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Monaco and husband Michael of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Randy Smith and wife Denise of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Guy Gibson and wife Wontona of Sanford, North Carolina; sisters, Barbara Jamison and Karlene Chance; grandchildren, Miranda Smith, Lora House-Smith, Abby Randol, Josh Gibson, Tyler Gibson, Gunnar Gibson and wife Stephanie, Tia Gibson, Donald Hammock, Jr., Tiffany James, Tanika James, Heather Pennington and husband Jason, Michael Garrett Monaco and companion Kayla Jo Owens, and Steven Monaco and companion Kayla Breann Webster; and great grandchildren, Iam Monaco, Khalessi Monaco, Theodore Blas Monaco, Kenslynn Monaco, Jackson Pennington, Jett Pennington, Ally Gibson, Jr. Gibson, and one great granddaughter on the way.

In addition to her husband and parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her brothers, Albert Guy and Morris Guy.
