Randy Moffett was born June 1, 1954 in Portageville, MO the son of the late Jim William and Dorothy Durrell Glover Moffett.
Randy was Salutatorian of the 1972 class at Adamsville High School, where he played basketball and baseball for the Cardinals. He was chosen as a delegate to Boy's State, and was named "Outstanding Teenager" for his academic accomplishments. Randy began working for the City of Adamsville in 2009 and was currently employed in the city's public works division at the time of his death. Playing dominoes, golf, and softball, bowling, reading, watching westerns and talking politics were some of his favorite activities. Randy was a numbers guy and enjoyed solving mathematical equations. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.
Randy departed this life on January 25, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 7 Months, 24 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Brandy Moffett and fiancé Jon Hardwick of Oxford, MS; four sisters: Patsy Blevins and Debbie Moffett, both of Adamsville, TN, Dorothy Sherron of Milledgeville, TN, and Pam Chambers and husband Benny of Selmer, TN; three uncles: Lamar Glover and Charlie Moffett and wife Teresa, all of Adamsville, TN, and Willie Earl Moffett and wife Geri Sue of Shreveport, LA; two aunts, Marie Humphrey of Stantonville, TN and Louise Moffett of Shiloh, TN; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Moffett and William O'Neal Moffett.
