RANDY MOUNT
Henderson, TN: James Randall Mount, age 72 passed away December 31, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born September 19, 1948 in Henderson, TN the son of the late James Kirk Mount and the late Mattie Sue Hodges Mount Segerson. His father died overseas in France during WWII. Mattie Sue later married DeWayne Segerson who raised Randy. Randy has lived in Henderson all of his life. He was a 1966 graduate of Chester County High School. He went to work for South Central Bell and retired in 2010, from now ATT, after forty-four years as a cable splicer.
He married Janice Kee on August 26, 1994.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed hunting with Kathy and his grandson, Tyler and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He spent much of his retirement time with his granddaughter, Brooklyn taking her to various events.
He enjoyed photography and enjoyed photographing wild flowers and sunsets. He also enjoyed watching westerns on TV.
He was member of the Henderson Church of Christ and had a special role of preparing the Sanctuary for services and setting up for OASIS group events.
Mr. Mount is survived by his wife, Janice Florine Kee Mount of Henderson; a daughter, Kathy Butler (Jason) of Henderson; a stepson, Alvin Warren Moss, Jr. (Nena) of Bolivar; three grandchildren, Tyler Butler, Brooklyn Butler and Tiffanie Moss; three brothers, Mark Segerson, Harold Wayne Segerson and Timothy Segerson all of Henderson and two sisters, Sara Lou Vansandt of Corinth, MS and Katie Beasley (H.A.) of Murfreesboro, TN.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2021 at Shackelford Funeral directors – Crook Avenue with Roy Sharp, Billy Smith and Tyler Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday.
Family request face covering be worn and mindfulness of social distancing be practiced.
