RAY HOPPER
Henderson, TN: Charles Ray Hopper, age 69 Passed away May 28, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Luther Corneilus and Pauline Elizabeth Young Hopper. He attended Chester County Schools and married Jo Ann White in 1966. They made their home in Chester County. He worked at Packaging Corporation in Jackson and later at C & C as a backhoe operator. He had done various odd jobs the last few years. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
Mr. Hopper is survived by his wife Jo Ann White Hopper of Henderson; three sons, Steve Hopper and wife Sherri of Lexington, Joey Hopper and wife Casey of Dickson and David Hopper and wife Marvietta of Jackson; three daughters, Tammy Russom and husband Shane of Milan, Deborah Yarbrough and husband Reginald of Henderson and Janice Hopper and husband Ryan Velic of Jackson; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; four brothers, Jimmy Hopper of Henderson, Waffard Hopper of Henderson, R. C. Hopper of Finger and Rocky Hopper of Jacks Creek; four sisters, Sylvia Mooney of Memphis, Betty Fesmire of Lexington, Bessie Stanfill of Scotts Hill and Linda Chandler of Sardis.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, William Hopper, Eugene Hopper, Tommy Hopper and Timmy Hopper.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Pastor Michael Rickenbaker officiating and burial will follow in Cabo Cemetery in Chester County, TN.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday.
