Raye Bruce Swinea

Raye Bruce Swinea Sr. was born August 2, 1944 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late William Lonnie Swinea and Mabel White Hull Swinea.He was united in marriage to Penny Byrd Swinea in West Monroe LA on August 22, 1970 and remained married for fifty one years. Mr. Swinea served his country proudly joining the Army on May 3,1966 and serving until March 1, 1970. He worked for General Motors as a technician for morre than thirty years.Mr. Swinea departed this life on September 8, 2021 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 1 Month, 6 Days.

He is survived by his wife Penny Swinea of Waynesboro, TN; three sons, Raye Bruce Swinea Jr of Pahrump,NV, Will Swinea of Waynesboro,TN and Jody Swinea of Columbia,TN;a grandchild, Samuel Zane Swinea of Waynesboro/Franklin,TN;sister Gerealdine Johnson of Memphis,TN and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins


In addition to his parents, Mr. Swinea was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam Swinea, Lonnie Swinea Jr., Donald Swinea, Steve Swinea; three sisters, Jeweldine Pearce, Mary Emmagene Cook, Lois Marie Ruddle;
