Henderson: Rebecca Ann Cason Rowsey, age 100, died Wednesday morning November 21, 2018 at Memphis Jewish Home in Cordova.

Mrs. Rowsey was born in the Montezuma Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late George Keesee and Georgia Clayton Tatum Cason. She moved to Henderson at the age of 4 and attended Chester County Schools, graduating from Chester County High School in 1936. She also attended Freed-Hardeman College. She married Frank Rowsey in 1937.

Mrs. Rowsey was a very caring and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Henderson. She enjoyed gardening and always had a beautiful yard in the spring, covered with blossoming azaleas and dogwoods.

She is survived by two sons; Bill Rowsey of South Haven, MS and Bob Rowsey of Henderson, two daughters; Ann Truett of Memphis and Becky Richardson of Park City, Utah, a sister Mary Jane Simmons of Henderson, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Rowsey in 2009, a brother Joe Tatum Cason and a granddaughter Maggie Rowsey.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Monday November 26th at Chester County Memory Gardens with Dr. Paul Scheirer and Kelly Howell officiating.
