Rebecca Kaye Shutt

Rebecca Kaye Shutt departed this life on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at the age of 44 years, 7 months, and 23 days. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on March 19, 1977, the daughter of James Shutt and the late Olean Tune Shutt.

Rebecca was a mom that loved her children with all her heart and there is nothing that she wouldn't have done or given to show them her love. She was a wonderful daughter and a beautiful sister that loved and was loved by her family more than words can express. She was a friend to so many and those she truly called friends, she had their backs and never had to wonder if they had hers.

For seven years, Rebecca was a cosmetologist at VerVe Hair Beautique. She was a passionate hairstylist and had a real bond with her clients. She spent her days only wanting to make them feel more beautiful and uplifted using a pair of scissors and a smile.

Rebecca was strong willed, stubborn, and held nothing back by telling it like she felt it. Those that really knew her, also know she was honored that people saw her as such and didn't want it any other way. Rebecca had a light that certainly shined a little brighter than the rest and it will shine on forever in all our hearts.

Rebecca Kaye Shutt is survived by her daughters, Madisen Wilkey and Kinsley Houpt, both of Fayetteville, Tennessee; father, James Shutt and his wife Becky of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Angelean Willett and her husband Andrew of Fayetteville, Tennessee; and brothers, Phillip Shutt and his wife Beka of Chipley, Florida, Paul Shutt and his wife Angie of Cullman, Alabama, Timothy Shutt and his wife Lisha of Fayetteville, Tennessee, and Mark Shutt and his wife Jean of Lebanon, Tennessee.

In addition to her mother, Rebacca was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Elsie Shutt, and Johnny and Irla Tune.
