Richard A. Vincent, 81, of Memphis, passed away Friday, September 17th at Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis.
He was born February 10, 1940 in Bolivar, the son of John Iver Vincent, Sr. and Lois Long Vincent. He lived in that house on Vildo Road until he graduated from High School in 1958 and went to Memphis. He lived in Memphis since 1960 where he worked as a boiler room operator/monitor for Hunt Wesson Foods for over 40 years.
He married Judy Lawrence and was a member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Vincent enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Vincent of Memphis; a son, Richard A. Vincent, Jr. of Sanford, NC; two sisters, Emily Hinson of Jackson and Frieda Waller of Bolivar; two brothers, John I. Vincent, Jr. of Bolivar and Butch Vincent (Judy) of Collierville; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Wilbert (who was killed in WW II), O'Neal, Joe, Cecil, Kenneth and Curtis.
