Richard Wayne Clanton

Mr. Richard Wayne Clanton, age 52 of Middleton, Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, October 9, 2014 at Bolivar General Hospital.

Mr. Clanton was born in Martin, Tennessee April 19, 1962 to the late Richard Thomas and Dorothy Ann Burnett Clanton. On October 23, 1987, he was united in marriage to Sandy Bodkins, who survives. He worked as a truck driver for the Driveway Division of International Group. He was a member of Lane Baptist Church in Rutherford and had lived in Hardeman County since 1987. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed family get-togethers.

In addition to his wife of 27 years, survivors include his daughters, Janet Keckler of Jackson, and Jennifer Lanier and husband Jason of Middleton; son, Jason Evans and wife Ginger of Oakland; and five grandchildren, Katelyn Lanier of Middleton, Kelsey Keckler of Jackson, and Hannah, Haley and Jacy Evans, all of Oakland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ricky Clanton and David Lee Clanton.
