Richard 'Rich' Crouse

Richard Lee Crouse, age 34, was born in Rome, GA November 7th1983, passed unexpectedly Friday October 5th, 2018. He is survived by his parents, Joel & Teresa Crouse of Bethel Springs, TN and Rick & Penny Seamon of Newnan, GA. His siblings are; Jennifer Crouse Wolfe of Pittsburg, PA, Jon Zagami of Nashville, Anthony Crouse of Augusta, GA, Taylor Seamon of Newnan, GA, Colton Seamon of Newnan, GA, and Keeley Seamon of Newnan, GA. His girlfriend is Cristina Coppola of Murfreesboro,TN and closest companion service dog Honey. His grandparents are: Jimmy Lee and Clara Mae Matthews, Rebecca Ann Vinson, Carrol B. and Barbara Crouse, Vestal and Mildred Seamon, Mary and Herman Wilmont, and Patrick Keene.

Proud combat veteran and defender of everyone he loved “Big Rich” was a brother to all he knew. He was living as a “free-footin” world-traveler after bravely serving two combat tours in Iraq. Rich’s warrior spirit, intellectual mind & philosophical soul led him in search of treasured sites off the beaten-path chasing his own “sword in the stone.”
Like a true Viking, the ocean spoke to Rich. The ocean was the place Rich’s loving heart and immense presence felt small. He found peace at the beach with a drink in his hand watching the sunset.

With Honey by his side, Rich enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. If Rich could shoot it, blow it up, or set it on fire… life was good!

Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 pm until 6:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main with a Reflection of Life service at 6:00 pm. Carrol B. Crouse and family members will officiate.
