Richard Kendall Mills

Mr. Mills passed away Wednesday evening at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The son of the late George Alton and Joy Faye Howell Mills, he was born in Bolivar and lived for a time in Shelby County where he graduated from Collierville High School in 1979. On October 19, 1985, he wed Cindy Jane Ducker, enjoying 33 years together.
Mr. Mills had worked as a driver for Express American Trucking and served as music director for Forest Hill Baptist Church in Germantown, TN and Toone Baptist Church in Hardeman County. A lover of Southern Gospel music, he also enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting in his spare time.
He leaves his wife, Cindy Jane Mills of Bolivar; his daughter, Elizabeth Ashley Mills of Bolivar; two brothers, Greg Mills (Susie) and Randy Mills (Sherry), both of Cincinnati, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lynn Mills.
