Richard Dave Pigg

Richard Dave Pigg was born April 10, 1928 in Collinwood to the late Archie and Mary Rich Pigg. He departed this life February 8, 2019 at the Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro at the age of 90 years nine months and twenty- eight days after a brief illness. He served bravely in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was retired from Muarry Ohio Manufacturing, he enjoyed being with his family, visiting with friends at Hasti Mart, watching Collinwood sports, and planting his garden.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Reba Holt, nephews Jamie, Peyton and Griffin Pigg, Brian (and wife Ryan), Carter and Corbin Smith, Matthew (and wife Anna) , Avery Stults, and Jackson Boshers, nieces Patty Robertson, Sheila and (husband Smitty) Smith, Michelle Smith Pigg (fiance Brent Holt), Jamila and Lindsey Pigg (fiance Jason Boshers), Brilea Pigg and Tynslee Stults, he is also survived by a host of cousins and friends who will miss Richard. Other than his parents Mr. Pigg is preceeded in death by brothers Allen, J.H., Dewey and Noah Pigg.

Services will be held Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee with Jason Love, John E. Banks, and Brian Smith officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 AM until service time at 3:00 at the funeral home.
