Ricky Lynn Anderson

Ricky Lynn Anderson, age 60, of Medon, departed this life on Wednesday evening, June 22, 2022, at his home.

He was born in Lexington, TN and lived in Henderson County until 1987. He was the son of the late Billy and Pauline Stanford Anderson and was united in marriage on January 2, 1987 to the former Tina Smalley Taylor. A 1979 graduate of Lexington High School, he was a self-employed truck driver.

Always concerned for the welfare of others, he could often be found calling various friends and relatives checking on how they were doing. Many times, he would "spoil" the children in his wife's classes at school by sending treats to them to enjoy. He liked all kinds of sports including St. Louis Cardinals baseball and was considered "unbeatable" in games of sports trivia. He enjoyed playing golf and, in years past, was quite an accomplished bowler have scored two perfect "300" games. He and his wife loved taking cruises, most notably, to New England and Alaska.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Tina Smalley Anderson of Medon; two daughters, Rachel Taylor Hughes (John) of Murray, KY and Haley Anderson Gerber (Max) of Dickson, TN; two siblings, Randall Anderson of Lexington and Cathy Russell of Jackson; two granddaughters, Leah and Maya Hughes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
