Robbie Jo Casteel

was born in Savannah, Tennessee on January 11, 1942 the daughter of the late Joe Franks and Ada Austin.

On September 14, 1960 she was united in marriage to Harold Jr. Casteel, who preceded his wife in death on May 5, 2020.

Robbie loved to work and gave 100% to everything she did. She retired after working 30 years as sewing machine operator at Brown Shoe Company. She had also worked for the Hardin County Board of Education at the Hardin County High School Cafeteria. Her favorite job was her last as a people greeter for Wal-Mart in Savannah. This is where many people got to know her and she made lots of friends in her years there. Robbie was a member of Campground United Methodist Church. She loved her family and had a deep devotion to her husband or "Honey" as she always called him for 60 years. Robbie had a passion and great talent for cooking and baking. She loved to fill her home with family and friends on Sunday to enjoy her country cooking.

Robbie departed this life on Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 19 days.

She is survived by her children, Randy Casteel and LaBreeska Cox and her husband Donnie, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Darren Casteel and his wife Ramona, Cameron Casteel and his wife Amelia, Keller Casteel, Madelyn Cox, Lily Cox, and Courtney Cox; great grandchildren, Ryker Casteel, Jade Smith, and Abigail Casteel; sisters, Betty Hardin of Savannah, Tennessee, Kayron Doran and her husband Alan of Savannah, Tennessee, and Katherine Kiddy and her husband Ronnie of Selmer, Tennessee; and brothers, James Harold Austin and his wife Diane of Savannah, Tennessee, Danny Franks and his wife Carolyn of Adamsville, Tennessee, J. D. Franks and his wife Katherine of Savannah, Tennessee, and Ronnie Franks of Huntsville, Alabama.

In addition to her parents and husband, Robbie was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Patterson and one brother-in-law, Billy Hardin.
