Robbie Sue Dicus Robinson Neill

March 24, 1938 — February 13, 2019

Robbie Sue Dicus Robinson Neill was born March 24, 1938 in the Hardin Bottom community of Perry County, TN, the daughter of the late Marvin and Mae Todd Dicus.

Robbie graduated in 1957 from Frank Hughes High School in Clifton, TN. While in high school she was a member of the basketball team, and graduated with one less tooth as a result. Robbie was united in marriage to Carrell Robinson on November 25, 1957. In the fall, she would help her husband at Robinson Grain; she loved visiting with the farmers when they would come in for supplies. To this union two daughters were born: Sherry and Sheila. When Carrell's health begin to decline, Robbie acted as his nurse for six years. She did an admirable job coordinating his dialysis and other treatments. Carrell preceded her in death on May 25, 1994. In May of 2001, Robbie was united in marriage to McCoy Neill, who preceded her in death in 2015.

Robbie loved to travel, having taken many trips all over the United States, Europe, and South America. She would spend weeks coordinating and planning every detail of the journey, first for her family and later her friends and ladies from church. She was proud of the fact that she never had to pay a traffic ticket, in spite of having driven in so many places. When her daughters were young, Robbie volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and Bible School worker, a Girl Scout leader, and chaperoned many bus trips as a faithful Central High School Band parent. In later years she developed her artistic talent and shared it by teaching art to children. Robbie especially enjoyed working on paintings with her grandchildren; watercolor was her favorite medium of expression. She loved her family dearly and was quick to brag concerning her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robbie was a member of First Baptist Church in Savannah.

Robbie departed this life on February 13, 2019 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 10 Months, 20 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Copeland and husband Eddie of Adamsville, TN and Sheila Bell and husband Fred of Huron, TN; three grandchildren: Jeremy White and wife Jamie of Adamsville, TN, Bridgett Bailey and husband Clint of Huntsville, AL, Kelsey Freeman and husband Tyler of Corinth, MS; seven great-grandchildren: Jillian, Addison, Evan, and Jaxon White, all of Adamsville, TN; Lillian Bailey of Huntsville, AL, Hadley and Abbey Freeman of Corinth, MS; a step-son, Dale Neill of Savannah, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Robbie was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin and Clifford Dicus.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tennessee Baptist Children's Home.
