Mr. Fletcher passed away Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017, in Nashville, TN.
He was born in Gilchrist, TN, in McNairy County, the son of the late Lucian and Beryl Walker Fletcher and served his country as a U. S. Marine from 1956 - 1958. Mr. Fletcher moved to Bolivar in 1959 and on Thursday, July 6, 1961 he was united in marriage to Jacquelyn McCarley. She passed away on Thursday, December 18, 1997 after 38 years of marriage.
Mr. Fletcher was a member of the Adamsville First Baptist Church and was employed as a recreational therapist for over 20 years at Western Mental Health Institute. He was active as a Mason, serving as past Master of The Bolivar Masonic Lodge, #608. He was also a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his son, Mac (Julie) Fletcher of Henderson; a sister, Helen Marie Flatt of Michie, TN; six grandchildren, Joshua Phillip Fletcher, Dylan McCarley Fletcher, Jacquelyn Macie Fletcher, Jackson Hunter Neal, Jennifer Faith Neal and Matthew Allen Tubbs; two nieces, Sherry and Debbie Flatt; and two nephews, Brian and Gary Flatt.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by a sister, Reba Faye Douglas; and a brother, Billy Marshall Fletcher of Knoxville.
