Roger Pirtle, 55, of Hornsby, passed from this life early Sunday morning, September 5th, at his home.
He was born Sunday, February 6, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Jimmy R. Pirtle of Hornsby and the late Charlene Pirtle, living in Chicago for 12 years, then in Fayetteville, NC, and had been in Hardeman County for the past 5 years. He worked as a self employed carpenter for 30 years and also had previously worked for Bledsoe Construction in Fayetteville, NC. A 1984 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, he enjoyed fishing and shooting pool, but held his greatest love for his family.
Survivors include his father, Jimmy R. Pirtle of Hornsby; a sister, Kim Pirtle of Toone; a brother, Joseph Pirtle (Young-Mi) of Fayetteville, NC; a sister, Doreen Pirtle of Whiteville; four nephews, 4 nieces; 5 great nephews and 11 great nieces.
