Ronald Edward Cranford was born June 28, 1947 in Somerville, TN the son of the late Edward and Nellie McNabb Cranford.
He was united in marriage to Joan Lawrence Stewart on August 24, 1999.
Mr. Cranford graduated from Covington High School and attended Freed-Hardeman College for two years. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1967 until 1970 and retired from BellSouth as a lineman after 31 years of service. Mr. Cranford was a member of Big Buck Resort in Hornsby, TN and enjoyed deer hunting, traveling, and fishing, but his favorite activity was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Cranford departed this life on March 8, 2020 in Hornsby, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 8 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joan (Lawrence) Cranford of Hornsby, TN; two daughters, Tammy Pankey Finger and husband Mickey of Memphis, TN and Kim Wyatt of Bartlett, TN; three sons: Chris Cranford and wife Tiffany of Arlington, TN, Robby Stewart of Hornsby, TN, and Brian Cranford and wife Missy of Florida; a sister, Brenda Hazelrig and husband Butch of Covington, TN; twelve grandchildren: Gene Wyatt, Chesley Wyatt, Alex Wyatt, Ashley Pankey and fiance Brandon Duncan, Noah Finger, Gavin Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Ethan Stewart, Nick Taylor, Gabby Williams, Kaylee Cranford, and T. J. Cranford; two great-grandchildren, Abbi Kate Duncan and Lawson Taylor Duncan; and many extended family and friends.
