Roy "Ducey" Gene Locke

November 27, 1939 — July 15, 2018

Roy Gene (Ducey) Locke was born November 27, 1939 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Carl Lee and Dorothy Mae Sanders Locke.

He was united in marriage to Betty Taylor on January 20, 1996.

Mr. Locke worked for 23 years at Dover Elevator in Middleton, TN. Roy was a hard working Christian man who loved the outdoors whether it was treeing a coon, waiting for a buck to step out, or caring for his cattle. He helped build two churches in McNairy County, Full Gospel Fellowship Church and First Baptist Church in Pocahontas. He enjoyed working with wood, his hammer and nails. He was a collector of old cars and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocahontas.

Roy was a loving husband, brother, dad and granddad.

Mr. Locke departed this life on July 15, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 7 Months, 18 Days. He is survived by his wife Betty Locke of Pocahontas, TN; two daughters, Cynthia (Graves) Spann and husband Kent of Grove City, OH, Rhonda (Graves) Brown and husband Mark of Middleton, TN; a son, Steven Graves and wife Kim of Rossville, TN; two brothers, Larry Joe Locke of Bethel Springs, TN, Ricky Allen (Bo) Locke of Finger, TN; nine grandchildren, Casey Spann and wife Ali, Caleb and Connor Spann, Sarah and Lily Brown, Seth, Aubrey, Noah, and Elijah Graves; three great grandchildren, Emery, Jack, and Joella Spann; nieces and nephews, Summer Lee Terry, Brianne Matheney, Brian Locke, Jeremy Wilson, Jayden Cupples, and Bristen Matheney; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Locke was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Junior Locke; a sister, Shirley Mae Nixon; a granddaughter, Mary Brown; niece, Patricia Wilson; and great niece, Alicia Wilson.

Serving as Pallbearers were Casey Spann, Caleb Spann, Connor Spann, Seth Graves, Noah Graves, Elijah Graves.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers were Larry Locke, Bo Locke, Bill Hunter, Jimmy Paul Martin, Lamar McDougal, Aaron Knight and Gerry Don Sweat, .
