Russ Leon Chapell

Russell Leon "Russ" Chapell, Jr. was born July 9, 1944 in Martin, TN the son of the late Russell Leon and Hazel Simpkins Chapell. He was united in marriage to Patricia Dianne Stanfield on August 17, 1962 and on August 17, 1986. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer, TN and a Mason. Russ retired after 23 years from Shelby County Sheriff's Department as a Sergeant. He was an avid gun and coin collector. Russ enjoyed spending time with his family and church family who were all very important to him.

Mr. Chapell departed this life on December 7, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 75 Years, 4 Months, 28 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Chapell of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Traci Chapell of Kossuth, MS, Teresa Pilley of Holcomb, MS; three grandchildren: Chris Brown (Jennifer), Justin Chapell, Austin Robbins; 7 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Chapell was preceded in death by a son, Glen Arnold; two brothers, Richard and LeRoy Chapell.
