Ruth Ann Howell Doles

Ruth Ann Howell Doles was born on June 18, 1947 in Hardeman County, TN, the oldest of 6 children born to the late Rev. James and Christine Howell.
Ms. Doles lived all her life in Hardeman County, TN and was employed at Western Mental Health Institute in her young adult years and then worked at Kilgore Flares Company for 30 years.
Ms. Doles grew up Baptist in faith with her dad pastoring several churches in Hardeman County. She was a member of the Bolivar Church of God during her later years. Her greatest joy in life was loving and nurturing her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved growing roses and was an avid reader.
Ms. Doles departed this life on July 11, 2022 at the age of 75 years and 24 days, at her home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her 5 children; Kathy Woods (Mark), Randy Doles (Karen), and Pam Thurman all of Bolivar, TN, Sandra Lester (Kevin) of Middleton, TN, and Lynn Doles (Melissa) of Ripley, TN. 22 grandchildren; Allison Adams (Kurt), Kellie Stack (Clint), Casey Woods, Madison Smith, Kristy Webb (Jody), Craig Collins (Candace), Kaitlyn King (Chase), Hunter, Harlie, and Hayleigh Lester, Colton Richie (Katrina), Justin Thurman (Amy), Brandon Thurman (Katie), Nicholas Thurman, Andrew Swortzel, Emily Swortzel, Joseph Doles (Kamrey), Lynsey Doles, Emilee Stowe-Doles, Bailey, Peyton and Brantley Doles. 22 great grandchildren; Skylar, Avarey, Graycen and Hayden Adams; Kyle, Carlie, Caleb, Kaden and Karalynn Stack; Leon, Crystal and Zephyr Smith; Brooklynn and Hudson Webb, Gage Collins, Maddox Richie, Kylie and Lily Mills, Wesley, Maddox and Jackson Thurman, and Carson Thurman. 3 sisters; Geneva Cossar (Mickey), Peggy Howell (Terry), and MaryNell Jackson (Billy). 1 brother; Harold Neal Howell (Janice), 1 sister-in-law; Sue Woodard and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James E Howell, Jr.
