Sadie Lucille Wiggins, 91, of Bolivar, passed from this life Monday, February 22 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Neely Wiggins, who died on August 27, 2011 after 66 years of marriage, she was a homemaker and had previously worked at Masterslack in Bolivar. She was born Wednesday, July 31, 1929, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Truman and Mary Taylor Vaughan and lived most of her life here in the county. She enjoyed fishing and going to church and working in her garden. Mrs. Wiggins was a member of Forest Hill Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Sue Cooksey of Bolivar; two sons, Charles Wiggins (Dorothy) of Collierville and Larry Wiggins of Hornsby; a sister, Margaret Wilson of Bolivar; four grandchildren, Teresa Cooksey (Shelby Isham), Jeffery Wiggins (Trish), Cathy Cooksey and Marsha Garrison (Johnny); four great grandchildren, Keegan & Colin Wiggins, John Garrison and Mary Beth Garrison; and one great great grandchild, Nathan Garrison; In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lester, Dorris and Buddy Vaughan; two sister, Frances Hodge and Augusta Mills; and a son in law, Larry Cooksey. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Forest Hill Pentecostal Church.
