    Samuel Quinton Hanna, Jr.

    August 5, 1967 - April 28, 2022

    Samuel Quinton Hanna, Jr. was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 5, 1967 the son of Mary Yvonne Ellis Hanna and the late Samuel Quinton Hanna. Quinton worked for Fred's for 20 plus years and was the manager of the Garden Center. He was a qualified mechanical drafter after studying drafting and CAD technology at Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Crump. Quinton designed the monument for the Daughters of the American Revolution at the Savannah Veteran's Park. He loved the outdoors, especially landscaping and gardening. Quinton was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Savannah and past member of Savannah Junior Jaycees. Quinton departed this life on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 54 years, 8 months and 23 days. In addition to his mother, Yvonne Hanna of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his brother, John Hanna and his wife Ginger of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Mary Beth Gibb and her husband Robin of Farnborough, Hampshire United Kingdom; nieces and nephews, Zoe Hanna of Savannah, Tennessee, Alistair, Charles, and Lucy Gibb, all of Farnborough, Hampshire United Kingdom; and his dog, Remi. Quinton was preceded in death by his father, Sam Hanna; grandparents, S.Q. and Fannie Mae Hanna of Saltillo, Tennessee, and Lloyd and Maureen Ellis of Savannah, Tennessee; and nephew, Will Hanna of Savannah, Tennessee. Memorial donations may be made to the Sheltering Tree Ranch, P. O. Box 1656, Savannah, Tennessee 38372
