SAMUEL NATHAN PLUNK
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 6, 1940 the son of the late Roscoe and Dorean Blankenship Plunk.
On July 19, 1982 he was united in marriage to Peggy Lynn Moore, who survives.
Samuel worked for Caterpillar for 25 years plus 5 years benefit for early retirement. He was a member of Grace Sanctuary in Savannah, Tennessee. Samuel enjoyed collecting coins, telling jokes and having fun with everyone. He loved his family, friends and his church family. Samuel loved to tell everyone about his dad, who was a pastor in this area.
He departed this life on May 24, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 18 days.
In addition to his wife of 36 years, Peggy of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Cathy Tower and her husband Scott of Phoenix, Arizona and David Plunk and his wife Laurie of Galesburg, Illinois; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Thelda Church and Ella Bailey, both of Southaven, Mississippi and Magdeline Smith of Horn Lake, Mississippi; and brothers, Harold Plunk of Parsons, Tennessee, Raymond Plunk and Eddie Plunk, both of Southaven, Mississippi.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Omega Plunk, two brothers, Paul David and James T. Plunk and one grandson, Danny Sarver.
