Sarah Evelyn Franks was born on January 29, 1939 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Clyde A. and Bertha Melson Franks.
On September 20, 1996, she was united in marriage to Bennie E. Franks, who survives.
Mrs. Franks worked as a garment sewer at Clifton Manufacturing prior to her retirement. She was a member of Abrams Chapel United Methodist Church.
Sarah Evelyn Franks departed this life on December 31, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 2 days.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Teresa Harville, Patsy Brown, Tammy Pipes, and Pamela Burks, all of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Raymond Middleton of Savannah, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Bentia Hudgens of Savannah, Tennessee; stepson, Reed Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Susie Wilson and Bertha Brooks; brothers, J.C. Franks, Clyde Franks, Jr., and Bill Franks; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tanya Middleton; brother, James L. Franks; and one great grandchild.
On September 20, 1996, she was united in marriage to Bennie E. Franks, who survives.
