Mrs. Tice passed away Saturday night at her home in Saulsbury. She was a native and life-long resident of Hardeman County. Born on September 29, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Nila Toms McAlpin. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Susan McAlpin and a brother, Jerry McAlpin.
She was retired from Thyssen-Krupp Elevators in Middleton and also had been a first responder for the Grand Junction Fire Department. She was a member of the Middleton Pentecostal Church and enjoyed flowers, the outdoors, hand crafts, sewing and especially spending time with her grandchildren and church.
Survivors include her son Nicolas Keith (Amber) Tice of Walnut, MS; three sisters, Dean (Earnie) Bennett of Weston, WV; Fran Price of Edmondton, AL and Marilyn (Jeff) King of Bolivar; four brothers, Johnny McAlpin of Brownsville, David (Paula) McAlpin of Grand Junction, Mike (Sheila) McAlpin and Tim (Bonnie) McAlpin, both of Saulsbury; two grandchildren, Nylah and Mason Tice; and long-time caretaker and friend, John Bumpus.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital.
