Sheila Gail Stewart, 51, of Selmer, passed from this life peacefully Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born in Ripley, MS to George Herman and Shane Evans, Shelia was described by family as strong, independent and the one everyone could depend on.
Shelia was a dedicated mother with her greatest accomplishment being raising her three children, As well as being a second mother to countless others, Shelia was everyone's biggest cheerleader and constant supporter.
Shelia is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Tony Stewart of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Casey Herman of Corinth, MS and Carrie Smith of Selmer; a son, Cory Stewart (Kimberly) of Bethel Springs, TN; five grandchildren, Arianna Stricklin, Addison Smith, Bella Herman, Adalynn Smith and Mattie Stewart; her mother, Shane Herman of Bolivar TN; four sisters, Teresa Edwards and Amy Cranford, both of Bolivar, Melissa Cranford (Brian) of Henderson, TN, and Derinda Cranford (Mark) of Hornsby; two brothers, Wayne Cranford of Hornsby and Chadwick Cranford of Bolivar; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Shelia was predeceased by her father, George Herman; a nephew, Andrew Cranford-Hampton; an aunt, Doris Ann Smith; and an uncle, Mike Herman.
