Shelby Louise Vandiver

Mrs. Vandiver passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Bolivar General Hospital.

She was a native and life-long resident of Hardeman County. Mrs. Vandiver was born on Thursday, September 25, 1947 to the late J. C. and Eva Mae Ridgell and was married to Mr. Aubrey Vandiver, Jr. for 30 years before his passing in November, 1991. She retired from Harmon Automotive in Bolivar after 13 years of service and was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed flowers, gardening and walking.

She leaves her son, Danny Vandiver of Bolivar; her daughters, Dianne Richie of Bolivar and Wanda (Michael) Overton, also of Bolivar; her six grandchildren, Jessica (Emmett) Shaffer, Jason (Keaton) Overton, Ross (Brittany) Richie, Audrey (Lafaye) Rogers, Aubrey Vandiver and Melanie (Richard) Strickland; 14 great-grandchildren and "one on the way."

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Ridgell; two brothers-in-law, Wayne and Bill Vandiver; and two sisters-in-law, Glenda Vandiver and Juanita Baker.
