Shelby Jean Weatherly

Shelby Jean Burkeens Weatherly was born September 3, 1939 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Cletis and Elizabeth Gage Burkeens.

She was united in marriage to Junior Weatherly on November 26, 1960.

Mrs. Weatherly was a 1959 graduate of Bethel Springs High School. She worked as a machine operator at Garan Manufacturing for 27 years and at River Heights Manufacturing for 9 years before retiring. Riding her utility vehicle over the farm, checking on the cows and chickens, tending her flowers and canning were some of Mrs. Weatherly's favorite pastimes, but her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Weatherly was a member of Beauty Hill Pentecostal Church, where she formerly taught in the Sunday School program.

Mrs. Weatherly departed this life on September 14, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 11 Days. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Junior Weatherly of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Denise Gee and husband Bobby of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Terry Weatherly and wife Rebecca of Bethel Springs, TN; four grandchildren: Danny Gee and companion Brittany Bobo, Michelle Bowen and husband Jimmy, Hannah Weatherly and companion Nick McFall, and Jake Weatherly; two step-grandchildren, Easton Bowen and Hayze Bowen; three great-grandchildren: Jessey Speck, Trevor Gee and companion Madison Dawn Frye, and Kylie Bowen; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weatherly was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Burkeens and Bobby Earl Burkeens.
