SHELIA REED BOMAR
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 14, 1958 the daughter of the late R. D. Hardings Reed and Verlie Eugena Umphrey Reed.
On March 18, 1978 she was united in marriage to Timothy Glenn Bomar, who survives.
Shelia retired after 43 1/2 years from Savannah Courier, where she was the type setter and sports editor. She loved working with the Hardin County Fair and was a past board member of the Hardin County Fair Association. Shelia loved coaching Dixie Youth Baseball and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah.
Shelia departed this life on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 2 days.
In addition to her husband of 42 years, Tim Bomar of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by her two sons, Ryan Bomar of Medina, Tennessee and Jacob Bomar and wife Kristen of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Aubree Bomar, Easton Bomar, Kayleigh Grace Bomar and Emma Bomar; sister, Luci Forrester of Columbus, Mississippi; and brother, Kerry Reed and wife Annette of Alabaster, Alabama.
Shelia was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Willie Reed and Anthony Reed.
