SHIRLEY WOODS BESHIERS
Henderson, TN: Shirley Faye Woods Beshiers age 82 passed away August 20, 2018 at her daughter’s home.
She was born October 10, 1935 in the Wilson School Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Joseph Haskell and Edna Vivian Sherrill Woods. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1954 and married Marshall Wade Beshiers the same year. They made their home in the Wilson School Community all their married life. She was a homemaker and Mr. Beshires worked for GM&O and ICG Railroad.
She had been a member at Pleasant Springs United Methodist Church since the age of fourteen. She had taught adult Sunday school, sang in the choir and was Sunday School Superintendent. She was a member of the Eastern Star since 1968. She was a loving mother, having raised “A HUNDRED” children.
She is survived by two sons, Wade Beshiers of Jackson and Jeff Beshiers of Henderson, a daughter, Beverly Hopper of Henderson; a brother, Danny Joe Woods of Henderson, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Gary Beshiers twenty-one days ago.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Crook Avenue with Glenn Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday.
