Shirley Bryant Moore, 77, passed away Saturday evening, November 14, 2020 at her son's home in Somerville.
She was born in Bolivar, July 4, 1943, the daughter of the late Boss and Mary Lois Sanders Bryant, lived for a while in Mississippi and for about 3-4 years in Shelby County. Prior to becoming disabled, she worked as a waitress at CK Restaurant in Germantown and as a cashier at Rainey Grocery. She enjoyed shopping, yard sales and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family states that she loved her family and life in general. Mrs. Moore was Pentecostal in belief.
Survivors include a daughter, Violet Jene Haulum (Paul) of Memphis; a son, Timothy L. Joyner (Lisa) of Somerville; a brother, Harold LaVern Bryant of Holly Springs, MS; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Joyner, her brothers, Julius, James, Herman and Bobby Bryant; her sisters, Gladys Woods, Ruby Bryant, Ruthie Ridgell, Doshie Wray and Dora Sue Hanson; and grandchildren, Dustin Wade Joyner and Jessica Hanna Joyner.
