Shirley Frances Wilkins was born October 5, 1935 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Stanfill Tyler.
Mrs. Wilkins worked for many years as a Supervisor for Harwood Manufacturing. In most recent years, she worked at the Buford Pusser Museum and loved her job there. She was requested by many to be their tour guide - giving first hand knowledge of her friendship with Buford and his family. She was patriotic and a proud supporter of President Trump.
She had an eye for detail and this showed in her beautifully manicured yard and flower gardens. Everything was trimmed by hand with scissors. She would spend many hours trimming her roses and edging along her flower beds. Just as the outside was cared for and maintained, the inside was just as beautiful. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Adamsville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Wilkins loved her community, her church and all the people she came in contact with through the museum. If you knew Mrs. Wilkins, then you knew her greatest joy was her son, Tom - Her love for her son was unconditional and constant.
Mrs. Wilkins departed this life on October 3, 2020 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 11 Months, 28 Days. She is survived by a son, Thomas Vinson "Tom" Wilkins, Jr. of Palm Harbor, FL; two sisters, Barbara Ann Phillips of Adamsville, TN, Charlotte Tidwell of New Johnsonville, TN; a brother, Harold Dwight Tyler of Adamsville, TN; bonus daughter, Tina; bonus sister, Dottie; and a host of extended family and friends.
