STEVE ALLEN DELANEY

was born in Franklin, Tennessee on January 20, 1962 the son of Judy Reeves Patton and the late Bobby Lynn DeLaney.

On May 11, 1987 he was united in marriage to Katrina Sheryl Pennington, who survives.

Steve loved his church, Livingword Fellowship, and emphasized the act of giving in faith. He was a loving husband, adoring father, doting grandfather, and a God fearing man... a man's man if you will. He was always willing to give advise when asked, just be ready for the truth...there was no sugar coating. Steve served his community, carrying on his father's legacy operating Savannah's oldest wrecker service, DeLaney's Towing for 33 years. Steve loved to hear stories of his dad, serving others and regardless of the strain, he aimed to do the same. Though he claimed to not have many friends, most who met Steve loved and admired him as a person. His greatest accomplishment in life and death is his faith, his legacy as a father, and his love of his community.

In addition to his wife of 31 years, Tina DeLaney of Savannah, Tennessee, Steve is survived by his children, Nicole Carter of Walnut, Mississippi, Dana Stanfield, Bobbie Jo Bearden and Brandi DeLaney, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Madilyn Carter, Eli Bearden, Arabella Bearden, Sophia Stanfield, Aubrie Fielder, Leah Stanfield and James Stanfield; his mother, Judy Patton of Franklin, Tennessee; and one sister, Stephanie DeLaney of Franklin, Tennessee.
