Steve Lee, 67, of Whiteville, passed from this life Monday morning, November 22, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

The husband of Doris Ann Lee, who survives, he worked construction since he was 18 years old. He was born Wednesday, December 9, 1953, in San Bernardino, California, son of the late Jerry Lee Rogers and Shirley Elaine Chaney Rogers and lived in Arizona for a while prior to moving to this area in the late 1980's. He married Doris Ann Herbst in March of 1985, and together they raised their family. He enjoyed fishing and was well known for crafting many items by hand out of anything he could find.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Ann Lee of Whiteville; a daughter, Jennifer Morris (Kelly) of Whiteville; a son, Joshua Lee of Whiteville; two sisters, Lori Gosha and Ethel Rogers, both of Memphis; two grandchildren, Michael Morris and Grace Burnette (Jacob); and two great grandchildren, Ary and Leo Burnette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Victoria Clarke and a brother, Leonard "Leo" Roberts.
