Streetie Hutchinson Morris was born on December 18, 1962, in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of Dottie McCaleb Hutchinson and the late Jon Hutchinson.
On November 6, 2010, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Morris, who survives.
Streetie was a member of Eureka United Methodist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She worked as a nurse at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, as the Director of Nursing at Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee, and as a nurse, wrangler, and counselor at Camp Soaring Hawk in Purdy, Missouri.
Streetie loved all animals, especially dogs, and raised several champion Shetland Sheepdogs. She also enjoyed knitting and making jewelry.
But what Streetie did best was love. She loved big and laughed bigger. Her contagious joy will be missed by all.
Streetie Morris departed this life on December 28, 2021, in Florence, Alabama at the age of 59 years and 10 days. Immediately after, she was in the presence of her Savior and friend, Jesus Christ, surrounded by a great number of dear friends, family, and fellow believers who had entered glory before her. We rejoice knowing that she is healed.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Morris; step-son, Bradley Morris; mother, Dottie McCaleb Hutchinson; sisters, Carole Hunt and her husband Dennis; Joni Shank and her husband Ron; step-grandchildren, Hunter Morris, Devin Morris, Luke Morris, and Jayden Morris; niece, Carli Hunt; and nephews, Cory Hunt, JB Shank, Caleb Shank, and Jon Garrett Shank.
