Robert Michael "Sully" Sullivan, age 76 of Toone, Tennessee departed this life Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
Sully was born in Middlebury, Vermont on Wednesday, October 21, 1942 to the late John Bernard and Helen Elizabeth Bishop Sullivan. He was united in marriage to Cindy Joy Sullivan in 2003, who survives and with whom he moved to Toone in 2005.
He served in the United States Air Force for 30 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He and his family traveled to several states during his term of service before settling in Georgia. After his retirement, he worked in maintenance for the State of Tennessee. He enjoyed farming truck patches as well as working in small gardens. He loved being outside, and working on heavy equipment was a favorite pastime.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Becky Blair (Jimmy) of Hickory Valley, Jaidan Sullivan of Toone, Emileigh Sullivan of Toone, Paula Leard (Johnny) of Collierville, and Noreen Sullivan of Cullman, AL; son, Billy Sullivan (Mary) of Munford; sisters, Maureen Sullivan of Catskill, NY, Mary Blaise (Ron) of Massachusetts, Ginny Gainer of New Hampshire, Jane Bouton (Scott) of Shoreham, VT, and Kathy Oliver (Johnny) of Sylacauga, AL; brothers, George Sullivan (Lorraine) of Maine, and John Sullivan (Robin) of Vermont; grandchildren, Austin Blair, Paul Michael Combs and Rachel Combs; and great-grandchildren, Paul Combs, Jr. and Jeremias Mateo Cruz.
