Suzanne Reatherford departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2020, at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 21 days. She was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 13, 1949, the daughter of the late Joseph Evan and Joan Margaret Smock Hutzenga. On June 8, 1978, she was united in marriage to Danny Reatherford, who survives.
Suzanne was a custodian with the Ann Arbor, Michigan school system for 15 years and a member of MESSA. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and crocheting. Suzanne was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee, the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce, and was a past member of the Board of Directors of Hardin County Education Foundation. She enjoyed volunteering and received several awards for her services including the Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award.
Suzanne is survived by her husband of 41 years, Danny Reatherford of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Stefanie Reatherford Bishop and her husband Brad of Savannah, Tennessee; stepchildren, Gayla Breitner of Columbia, Tennessee, Gregory Reatherford of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and Grant Reatherford and his wife Teresa of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ella Morgan Bishop and Maggie Kate Bishop; step grandchildren, Alyssa, Kelsey, Jake, James, Steven, and Kersten; step great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Aiden, Aubrey, Lucy, Emily, and Millie; and a brother, Jimmy Hutzenga and his wife Jan of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hutzenga.
