Mary Sue "Suzy" Holland, age 77, passed away January 24,, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born February 28, 1941 in Decatur County, the daughter of the late Isaac Malcom Campbell and Elsie Thomas Dill. She grew up in Chester County and was a graduate of Chester County High School. She attended Freed-Hardeman College and later graduated from Jackson State Community College in the Nursing program in 2003. She married Denny Holland on May 1, 1980, and they made their home in Enville. She loved to travel, was an excellent cook and homemaker. She dearly loved her family and always put them before all other things.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her husband, Denny Paul Holland; one son, Sammy Lynn Ozier (Lisa) of Milledgeville and one daughter, Candy Willis (Tony) of Enville; five grandchildren: Jared Blankenship, Kyle Willis, Amber Droke, Sarah Clayton, and Dylan Yager; eight great-grandchildren: Kaden Blankenship, Kolbie Blankenship, Bailey Blankenship, Avery Willis, Emberlie Willis, Layla Droke, Alaina Clayton, Lilah Clayton and a ninth on the way, Abel Willis; three sisters, Linda Neisler of Jackson, Maxine Grisham of Enville, and Darlene Bridges of Henderson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Campbell.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Perry Neal Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Milledgeville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday.
