Tanzie Dawn Whitehead

Tanzie Dawn Whitehead Tanzie Dawn Whitehead, age 50, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, TN. She was born August 12, 1964, to the Lila Martin Whitehead of Iron City, TN, who survives and the late Charles T. Whitehead who passed away in March 21, 2014. In addition to her father, Ms Whitehead was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Whitehead and sister, Lisa Whitehead.

Tanzie was a disabled worker with the Tennessee Highway Department and served in the Tennessee National Guard for 22 years.

Other than her parents, she is survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Tanzie never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

Services will be Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Sonny Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Rex Bevis, Bart Littrell, Elmo Littrell, Kelby Ray, Brent Littrell and Sheldon Morgan.

Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm and Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
