Terry Martin Stanfill was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 29, 1944, the son of the late Jesse Martin and Sue Wolfe Stanfill. On April 30, 1996, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Ann Baker, who survives. Terry departed this life on June 18, 2019, at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 20 days.
In his lifetime, Terry worked at Barker Implement in Savannah, Tennessee and PCA, where he retired after 33 years. He formerly lived in Adamsville, Tennessee and Savannah, Tennessee. Terry attended Gravel Hill Baptist Church and was a member of Local 9923 United Steel Workers. Fishing, yardwork, cattle farming, and tractors were some of his favorite things. Terry loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with all of them, especially his granddaughter, Ella James.
In addition to his wife of 23 years, Terry is survived by his sons, Jeffery Stanfill and wife Debbie, Timmy Stanfill and wife Candy, and Jody Stanfill and wife Brittany, all of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Terra Whitman and husband Joe of Dowagiac, Michigan; stepchildren, Paula Scott and husband Rod and Karen Rickman; brother, Gerry Stanfill of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ella James Scott, Jeffery Stanfill, Jr., Octavia Marie Stanfill, Jeftina Stanfill, Jessie Stanfill, Jacob Stanfill, Marty Stanfill, Chloe Stanfill, Lucas Stanfill, and Chase Stanfill; great grandchildren, Abigail Stanfill, Hunter Stanfill, and Landon Stanfill; step grandchildren, Valerie Morgan, Nicole Wright, Stephanie Forrest, Charlie Melson, Meghan Pettigrew, and Katie Scott; step great grandchild, Penelope Rhinehart; sisters-in-law, Sandra Rowsey and Janice Phelps; and brothers-in-law, Glen Rowsey and Jimmy Baker.
