Private Memorial Services for Mrs. Turner will be held by the family. Mrs. Turner passed away Wednesday morning, July 25, 2018 at her home near Middleton.
She was born in Hardeman County on Monday, June 26, 1933 to the late Floyd and Fannie Goff Howell. Additionally, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Cox; two sons, Gene and Tony Jackson; two sisters, Christine Howell and Mae Stamey; brothers, Dean and Paul Howell; and grandchildren, Danny Jackson, Billy Graves and Mary Graves.
Mrs. Turner had also lived in Union City and in Jackson before returning to this area 15-20 years ago. The widow of Mr. Duke Jackson and Mr. Howard Turner, she was primarily a homemaker but had worked for a short time at Bolivar General Hospital. Mrs. Turner had attended Bolivar First Baptist Church and in her spare time enjoyed television, yard sales and collecting dolls.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Doyle of Jackson and Pat Crouse of Selmer; three sons, Ray (Ann) Jackson of Middleton, Ricky (Tina) Jackson of Auburn, MS and Greg (Sandra) Jackson of Toone; four sisters, Lucille Howell of Bolivar, Ann Gowdy of Selmer, Linda Bynum of Nashville and Clara Jones, also of Nashville; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren with "one-on-the-way".
