Thomas Dewayne Grantham, 83, of Horsnby, departed this life early Wednesday morning, March 14, 2018 at Methodist Home Hospice in Memphis.
The husband of Sue Treadwell Grantham, who survives, he was a retired law enforcement officer with the City of Memphis, retiring in 1992 after 32 years of service, as a Captain. He was born March 6, 1935 in Hardeman County, son of the late Herman Wade Grantham and Mary Viola Goth Grantham and lived in Shelby County until his retirement, at which time he moved back. He married Sue Treadwell on November 22, 1962 and enjoyed playing poker, working on anything he could find, gardening and working on his farm. His greatest enjoyment came from being around his grandchildren. Mr. Grantham was a member of Powell Chapel Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Tommie Jean Boland of Hot Springs, AR and Belinda Grantham of Byhalia, MS; a brother, Bob Grantham of Memphis; two grandchildren, Cory McKee and Shellie Daniel; and two great grandchildren, Leah and Cody Daniel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Grantham.
