Tom Haggard

TOM HAGGARD

was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 13, 1935 the son of the late Jessie and Vera Cook Haggard.

On December 22, 1955 he was united in marriage to Annie Margaret Ables, who survives.

Tom was the owner and operator of Tom's Truck Stop from 1975 to 1988. He also had worked for Hassell Oil Company in Savannah. Tom worked as a real estate broker, he had worked with Century 21, Mid -South Real Estate Company and United Country River City Realty. He was a Hardin County Commissioner. Tom was a member of First Assembly of God in Savannah, Tennessee where he was a board member for many years and superintendent. He also had been superintendent at Savannah Foursquare Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, boating and raising hogs, which he did for a long time.

Tom departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 22 days.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, Annie of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Haggard, Michael Dale Haggard and Christy Anne Haggard Hill, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brandon Woodford, Cameron White and Chelcey Haggard; and three great grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Roger Haggard; two sisters, Emma Lois Haggard Bain and Frances Haggard; and one brother, Bob Haggard.
