Tommy Glen Connor, husband of Nancy K. Connor, went to his heavenly home
Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born Saturday, August 21, 1954 to Martha Sue Clifford Connor and the late Robert Thomas Connor.
Tommy lived his entire life on Smith Road in the Jacks Creek Community. He attended Jacks Creek Elementary for 8 years and graduated from Chester County High School in 1972. While in high school, he worked part-time with his daddy building houses. After graduating from Jackson State Community College, he went to work full time with his daddy.
Friday, August 16, 1974, he was wed to the former Nancy King. Five years later they were joined by their son, Randy and thereafter by a daughter, Emily.
He worked 45 years constructing houses carrying on the job after his daddy passed away in 2000. Driving down the road, he would often point out houses he helped to build as an old fashioned “stick carpenter “. After working each day, he came home and farmed. He loved driving the tractor and working God’s ground.
He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church family and loved attending church there. He was strong in his faith in Jesus Christ and often talked to others about his relationship with God.
His children, Randy Connor, Emily and Tracy Harris were very dear to him. He loved to ride his grandchildren, Thomas, Ely and LacyAnn in his Ranger around the farm. They were very precious to him.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and mama. Also surviving are his sister, Karon Reinmann; his mama-in-law, LeeNell King; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Lisa King and many nieces and nephews.
