Mr. Tommy Deming, age 77 of Saulsbury, Tennessee, passed from this life Monday morning, May 21, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Deming was born in Bolivar, Tennessee on Tuesday, March 25, 1941 to the late Winfred and Jewell Howell Deming. He graduated with the class of 1958 at Bolivar Central High School and served in the US Navy. On Saturday, August 9, 1980, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Virgie Mae Deming, who survives.
Tommy worked as a cowboy on ranches and loved riding horses and hunting. He particularly enjoyed riding in the Ames Plantation Field Trials as well as the St. Jude Trail Ride. He lived most all of his life in Hardeman County and was a member of the Saulsbury Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife of 38 years, Mr. Deming is survived by his children, Tracye Simmons (Fred) of Somerville, Chris Deming of Hickory Valley, Richard Stanley (Cindy) of Bethel Springs, Angie Fawcett (LaVoy) of Hickory Valley, Jeannie McQueen (Tommy) of Pocahontas, Timothy Newton (Wendy) of Saulsbury, and Chatty Daniel (John) of Walnut, MS; sister, Diane Gates (John Rex) of Hickory Valley; grandchildren, Taylor Deming, Marley Simmons, Chevis Deming, Tyler Stanley, Joseph Marcum, Carrie Thigpen, Jon and Josh Yopp, Molly Street, Lauren Newton, Logan Newton, Lexie Broyles, and Luke, Austin and Will Daniel; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Teresa Deming; and granddaughter, Leslie Deming.
