Troy Neal Dunaway was born August 11, 1947 in Covington, TN the son of the late Lessie T. and Amy Scott Dunaway.
He was united in marriage to Marilyn Ferguson on August 2, 1979.
Troy graduated from Selmer High School, where he played football. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. Troy retired from General Electric in Selmer after 30 years of service as a machine operator. Playing golf, fishing, and vegetable gardening were his favorite pastimes. Troy was Presbyterian in faith.
Troy departed this life on October 28, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 2 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marilyn Dunaway; a daughter, Tina Dunaway; a son, Tony Neal Dunaway and companion Kristen Joyner, all of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Morgan Dunaway and Landon Dunaway; a sister, Betty Franks of Savannah, TN; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by four sisters: Jean Huggins, Alice Browder, Mary Sue King, and Katie Basinger; and five brothers: Billy Dunaway, Ralph Dunaway, Charles Dunaway, Wilburn Dunaway; and a brother who died in infancy.
