Troy Glen Swafford

Henderson, TN
Troy Glen Swafford was born in Jackson, TN on January 23, 1984, the son of Homer Glen and Linda Ruth Swafford. He departed this life on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the age of 34 years, 6 months and 12 days.
He grew up in Jacks Creek and was a 2002 graduate of Chester County High School. He worked at Snookums Steakhouse during his high school days. After graduation, he began working for Hutcherson Trenching and Boring for a time. He then began working for S.M. Lawrence Construction in Jackson working primarily as a plumber and welder. In more recent years he returned to Hutcherson Trenching and worked until health complications forced him to discontinue.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting arrowheads, watching movies and recently began a hobby of making knives. He was also quite a history buff. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Henderson.
He is survived by his parents Homer and Linda Swafford of Jacks Creek; two brothers David Swafford and Jimmy Plunk (Shon) both of Reagan; two sisters Connie Miller (Jamie) of Jacks Creek and Celinda Davidson of Jackson; nephews Trevor and Ty Miller, Colton Plunk, Chad Dressander and Bladen Gately; and nieces Alexis Davidson and Kasyn Miller.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 7 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson’s East Main Chapel with Donny Taylor and Larry Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Swafford Family Graveyard.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, August 6 at the East Main Chapel.
