TURNER LEONARD HINTON
was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on July 14, 1925 the son of the late Turner and Nancy Victoria Sheppard Hinton.
On July 13, 1946 he was united in marriage to Nadine Tune, who survives.
Mr. Hinton was a farmer, sawmill worker and worked maintenance at Brush Creek County Park. He also worked as a school bus driver for the Lauderdale County Board of Education. Mr. Hinton was a Christian and was of the Baptist faith. He was a good husband, loving father and loved his grandchildren dearly. Mr. Hinton was a humble man, who also loved having company and big get togethers.
In addition to his wife of 73 years, Nadine of Waterloo, Alabama, he is survived by his 2 sons, Freddie Hinton of Savannah, Tennessee and Wendell Hinton of Waterloo, Alabama; grandson, Thomas Earl Hinton of Savannah, Tennessee;and his "adopted" grandchildren, Derrick Pickens of Waterloo, Alabama, D. J. Pickens of Greenfield, Tennessee and Harlee Pickens of Waterloo, Alabama.
Mr. Hinton was preceded in death by his parents, Turner and Nancy Victoria Sheppard Hinton, grandparents, Thomas and Mary Jane Gean Sheppard, sister, Alma Hinton Scott and brother, Vernon Hinton.
